Integrating Your New App with Existing Business Tools

How custom software connects with your existing tools including email and accounting software.

Your new application doesn’t need to replace everything. It can integrate with your existing tools.

Common Integrations

  • Email: The application sends emails directly — alerts, reminders, confirmations.
  • Accounting: Export data formatted for Xero, QuickBooks, or your accountant.
  • Calendar: Sync appointments and deadlines with Google Calendar or Outlook.
  • File storage: Link to documents in Google Drive or OneDrive.

Keep It Simple

Not every integration is necessary. Start with the core application and add integrations once you’re comfortable. Email alerts — the most common integration — are included in every project by default.
